Job Title: Learning Specialist 


Job Summary


The Learning Specialist leads the administration of the Learning Management System (LMS), including project coordination, creating of LMS elements, supporting various training programs, creating and running LMS reports and managing data integrity within the LMS. The position leads the coordination of  training events as requested.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain LMS knowledge (as a PowerUser) through training and education.
  • Create LMS entities such as courses, learning plans, cover pages, reports, quizzes, surveys, and other "basic to advance features" etc.
  • Apply Data Standards to drive data accuracy and consistency within the LMS and other systems, as defined.
  • Own, execute and act as the subject matter expert for the LMS Maintenance and Revision (M&R) process, including sending monthly notifications, processing requests, maintaining item M&R data, and identifying/implementing process efficiencies.
  • Provides regular and ad hoc reporting as defined, as well as trending and analyzing data from the LMS upon request.
  • Leads LMS projects of a specialized and complex nature. 
  • Maintains and monitors budgets associated with special projects. 
  • Leads learning programs by keeping content up to date and relevant (using the M&R process). 
  • Leads the coordination of training events as needed, including managing schedules, enrollments, marketing, registration revenue allocations/reporting, attendance reporting and other related logistics.

 
Experience, Education & Skills

  • Minimum 5 years experience working with LMS administration and coordinating training logistics.  
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and ensure on-time project deliverables.
  • Demonstrated effective problem-solving capability with creativity in providing solutions to new issues.
  • Experience managing a budget and cost control practices. 
  • Ability to understand customer requirements, build solid customer/client relationships, and proactively respond to customers.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of data with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work with all levels of audiences with a positive and professional demeanor.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Requires effective interpersonal skills and behaviors conducive to a team-oriented environment including diplomacy, tact, flexibility and a positive approach.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret incomplete or inconclusive information.
  • Proficient with Google Apps for office productivity: Mail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Chat, Meet, Sheets, Sites, Slides, Groups, Forms, Lucid charts, etc.
  • Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively, specifically LMS systems.  Docebo is preferred. 
  • Two year technical degree or equivalent education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

This compensation range is based on a full time schedule.
