SUMMARY
Manage all aspects of the plant maintenance department including supervising and evaluating exempt and non-exempt employees. Develop and implement programs to ensure uninterrupted functionality of facility, manufacturing, support systems and processes throughout the facility. Work with production to increase efficiencies and reduce downtime. Work with Corporate Engineering on the installation of equipment and process improvement projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for administering company GMP and Safety policies within department and with all contractors/service providers.
- Manage the business and operational aspects of an Industrial Maintenance Department.
- Manage department resources and contracted support personnel to maximize utilization of the maintenance department.
- Evaluate department resources versus existing and future workloads and recommend adjustments as required.
- Manage and review overall performance of assigned employees to include job proficiency, adherence to company rules and policies, and professional development.
- Coach/Train employees in proper troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of plant systems installed.
- Manage, administer, and advance the CMMS including modules for Equipment, Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, Inventory Management, Purchase Orders, Personnel and Vendor databases.
- Review the ongoing efficiencies of manufacturing, manufacturing support, and facility support systems; make recommendations and implement improvements as necessary.
- Provide maintenance support as required to operations personnel of wastewater pretreatment plan
- Utilize thorough knowledge of facility, property, and manufacturing support systems, including: power and lighting; steam; hot water; compressed air; irrigation; HVAC and refrigeration.
- Expert in working from and interpreting mechanical, electrical (power and controls), pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
- Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises exempt team leaders and non-exempt department resources. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree (BS or BA) ; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
