Job Description

This person will perform managerial duties to monitor the performance of the maintenance department daily, direct Supervisors and Lead associates to ensure that all paperwork is being filled out properly and distributed in a timely manner. Maintain a safe environment to work in and monitor all necessary procedures to ensure proper operation of production equipment and electrical systems. Specifically:

· Managing their parts inventory

· Managing projects

· Managing Preventive Maintenance Program

· Assigning all PM’s in their area

· Assign mechanics key machinery to be held accountable

· Provides daily and weekly reports to the maintenance manager

· Be on call for their respective areas

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (preferred but not required) plus at least 5 years of related work experience. Other requirements include:

· Must have at least 3 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance

· Must have at least 3 years of supervisory experience

· Must have relevant experience with poultry production equipment.

· Ability to read schematics, as-built drawings, and P&ID Drawings.

· Must have a working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, fabrication and industrial electrical applications.

· Ability to read, and clearly understand, instructions for a broad range of mechanical, electronic, electrical, manual and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

· Able to work various shifts and work weekends/ overtime as needed.

· Formal maintenance training preferred; OJT and additional schooling will be provided for candidates with the right qualifications.

· Dependability in attendance and flexible work schedules are crucial to ensure preventative maintenance is completed while the plant is not processing.

· Weekend work is required.
