Job Description

About the Day to Day Responsibilities of the Role

The Wood Mackenzie Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting demand generation around our global commodities businesses, specifically supporting our oil and gas/LNG product portfolio. They will plan, implement, and evolve the marketing strategy, using performance data and insights to make continuous program improvements and drive business growth.

The Marketing Manager reports to the Director of Marketing, Americas, but will support the business globally. The Marketing Manager will collaborate closely with the entire global marketing team to achieve goals.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a marketing strategy to drive growth and achieve revenue targets, utilizing customer, competitor, and market insights to inform decision making and program optimizations
  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns and tactics from start to finish, utilizing the entire marketing channel mix while leveraging internal support and driving collaboration
  • Localize programs for specific regional market segments and audiences
  • Continuously analyze and evaluate marketing campaigns, making pivots and adjustments to improve performance and deliver on KPIs – track, analyze and optimize continuously!
  • Effectively manage stakeholder relationships across sales, research, and consulting teams, utilizing insights to drive campaign planning and strategy and providing consistent performance updates
  • Work collaboratively with the global marketing team (digital, content, creative, product marketing, PR, and more) to maximize reach and performance of campaign activity and to share best practices
  • Will have complete management of a budget and responsibility for delivering ROI
Qualifications

About You and How You Can Excel in this Role
  • Previous successful experience in a B2B marketing manager role, with a focus on demand generation
  • Should have at least five years of marketing experience and a relevant Bachelor’s degree; knowledge in renewables, energy, and commodities markets, and/or expertise marketing a complex technology product, is also an advantage
  • Must have experience developing marketing strategies, plans, and campaigns from start to finish, including analyzing results and optimizing campaigns accordingly
  • Very comfortable using marketing performance metrics and insights to interpret trends and drive strategic decision making and marketing plan development
  • Must excel at problem-solving and approaching issues in multiple ways – proven creative and innovative problem-solving required!
  • Must love collaborating across teams and should possess a positive attitude and demeanor
  • Strong leadership and communication skills – must have demonstrated ability to influence, build, and maintain relationships at all levels of an organization
  • Performs well managing multiple priorities and working in a matrixed environment
  • Self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment – change and new opportunities should excite you!
  • Strong customer-first mentality, both internal and external
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of digital marketing practices and channels such as Google Analytics, SEO, PPC, and social media
  • Experienced Martech user (ideally, you will have solid experience using Salesforce and Pardot)
