Title: Medical Lab Assistant/Clinical Lab Assistant

Shifts:  Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN; Multiple shifts available, Day Shift, Night Shift, Evening and Rotating

 

 

Hospitals:  Ascension Dell Seton Medical Center-UT (ADSMC-UT), Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin (ASMCA), Ascension Seton Hays, Ascension Seton Southwest, Dell Children's Medical Center (DCMC), Ascension Seton Williamson, Ascension Seton Bastrop, Ascension Providence, Ascension Seton Highland Lakes

 

Location: Austin,TX, Kyle, TX, Round Rock, TX, Bastrop, TX, Waco, TX, Burnet, TX

What You Will Do:

• Perform diagnostic/analytic testing of specimens.
• Perform patient testing, quality control, validations, linearities, equipment maintenance and troubleshooting up to moderate complex under the supervision of a Medical Lab Scientist.
• Assist with analytic accuracy, precision, sensitivity and references for various test methods.
• Help with inventory management, ordering/restocking supplies.
• Assist with data collection, prepares reports, performs testing of information systems and/or interfaces and special projects.
• Understand and participate in all aspects of clinical laboratory testing; pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical. May also collect, process and/or prepare specimens.

What You Will Need:

Licensure / Education:

• Medical Laboratory Assistant crendentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) Preferred
• Medical Laboratory Assistant credentialed from the American Medical Technologists (AMT) Preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Additional Preferences:

Degree in natural science preferred

Lab experience preferred
