OIL & GAS ACCOUNTANT

Stable and growing Oil & Gas company is seeking an Accountant with 2 - 5 years oil & gas experience with a desire for professional growth. The Oil & Gas Accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting including production, revenue allocation, royalty valuation, regulatory, and owner relations for properties within a specific area.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Input and allocate well production and manage production databases.

• Communicate with the engineering and field offices to resolve production discrepancies.

• Gather, review, and allocate monthly revenue statements to appropriate wells.

• Reconcile cash received against revenue allocations.

• Communicate with interest owners and resolve revenue related issues.

• File monthly reports with regulating entities (production, royalty, tax, etc.).

• Assist with monthly variance reporting and accruals.

• Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field.

• 2+ years upstream Oil & Gas accounting experience.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office. Must have excellent Excel skills.

• WolfePak oil & gas software a plus.

• Adept multi-tasker with a high level of attention to detail.

• Strong analytical and communication skills.

• Ability to shift priorities as necessary.

• Strong work ethic.

• Desire to learn and grow.

• Capable of working independently, as well as part of a team.
