Oracle Database Administrator

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Installation, upgrades, cloning, and patching of EBS applications and databases
• Manage monitor and configure EBS workflow Administer EBS concurrent managers
• Responsible for ensuring the availability and performance of all database environments
• Diagnose and solve database related problems including non-functional problems such as performance issues by identifying workarounds, and driving resolution / "owning" the problem.
• Experience with Oracle database 11g/12c/19c.
• Setup EBS Monitoring, Metric evaluation, provide proactive performance monitoring, and capacity planning and use OEM12c.
• Tuning of performance, power planning, and optimization of systems
• Control of databases, troubleshooting, administration, backup and recovery in a 24x7 environment.
• Review and troubleshooting SQL queries and recommendations for performance enhancement.
• Develop and maintain understanding of key processes, schedules, cycles, profiles, etc. for the technical systems in use.
• Participate in the planning and execution of the monthly maintenance process, including patches, system configurations, and preventative maintenance activities, across all production environments in support of customer.
• Partner with Developers, System and Network administrators in a multinational environment to support and improve system performance and stability.
• Establish and maintain a 24x7 global support model for all environments (Oracle EBS, PeopleSoft and Core databases) in support of customer.

Years of Experience : 10+ years as Oracle DBA

Education : Bachelor's degree

Preferred - Knowledge of PeopleSoft Application, Apex and Appworx
