Our team of ODP Instructors and Guides are looking for enthusiastic and driven individuals to join us to develop the practical skills and aptitude necessary to become a Registered Sea Kayak Maine Guide! Throughout our season, Guide Apprentices will complete relevant training, collaborate with a mentor Guide on their technical and teaching skills and hone their outdoor teaching skills with customers in a variety of settings. A portion of this work will involve working with youths in our summer camp programming. We are looking for candidates who are motivated and excited to work towards earning their Maine Guide’s license. Successful apprentices will be flexible, have good time management skills, respond well to feedback and coaching, open to collaborate, and ultimately feel prepared and confident to take their Maine Guide exam.

Outdoor Discovery Programs Goals:
Promote new outdoor enthusiasts through quality outdoor experiences.
Inspire people to engage in new outdoor activities.
Create a sense of belonging while participating in outdoor activities.
Qualifications:
Must have 30 days of availability to work a flexible schedule including days, weekends, and some evenings.
Ability to maintain a high level of enthusiasm, motivation, and positive attitude.
Able to manage time and possess personal organizational skills.
Must hold a valid CPR & First Aid certification.

Education Level: High School or GED
