Marshfield Medical Center – Weston offers a wide range of advanced care services to individuals in Central Wisconsin including primary care, urgent care, lab services, radiology, pharmacy, family care, cancer care, pediatrics, and more.



The Paramedic – Emergency Department Care Technician works under the direction of a RN to care for patients within the Emergency Department.   This individual will room patients, taking vital signs, initiating intravenous lines, drawing blood, performing 12-lead EKGs, applying splints, assisting with procedures and patient monitoring.  The Paramedic – Emergency Department works in a team environment to provide necessary care to our patients and their families and may assist in other clinical departments as assigned under the direction of the RN.



Requires:

High school diploma or equivalent
Proficient with reading, writing and speaking English
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications provided by the American Heart Association
Current State of Wisconsin Paramedic license
Current driver’s license with acceptable record may be required (varies by department/location)


Preferred:

Associates degree in paramedicine preferred
Experience as a paramedic
Proficient with reading, writing and speaking in alternate languages.
