Paramedic - Emergency Department

•    Part-time, 36 hours/week, Full Benefits
•    May be eligible for a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance as applicable

Marshfield Medical Center – Minocqua is a medical campus that provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient health care to residents in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. We provide emergency services, outpatient care, inpatient and outpatient surgeries including minimally invasive options, birth services, imaging services, laboratory, physical and occupational therapy, and pharmacy.

The Paramedic – Emergency Department Care Technician works under the direction of a RN to care for patients within the Emergency Department.   This individual will room patients, taking vital signs, initiating intravenous lines, drawing blood, performing 12-lead EKGs, applying splints, assisting with procedures and patient monitoring.  The Paramedic – Emergency Department works in a team environment to provide necessary care to our patients and their families and may assist in other clinical departments as assigned under the direction of the RN.

Requires:
•    High school diploma or equivalent
•    Proficient with reading, writing and speaking English
•    Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications provided by the American Heart Association
•    Current State of Wisconsin Paramedic license
•    Current driver’s license with acceptable record may be required (varies by department/location)

Preferred:
•    Associates degree in paramedicine preferred
•    Experience as a paramedic
•    Proficient with reading, writing and speaking in alternate languages.
