Job Description

Are you looking for an opportunity to join the healthcare industry as a caregiver? We are offering a great opportunity to receive training as a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) that will prepare you to take the state Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License Exam. You will receive classroom and hands on training while helping our residents and caregivers. As a PCA you will have 120 days to train, take, and pass the CNA exam. We would LOVE the opportunity to help launch you into a new and exciting career in healthcare!

 

Gainesville Health & Rehabilitation Center is a 120-bed Skilled Nursing Facility located in Gainsville, FL. Within our organization we believe that our residents don’t live in our workplace, we work in their home. What you bring to our team:

· High school diploma or GED

· Effective verbal and written English communication skills

· Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality

· Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure

· Problem solving skills

· Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change

 

As a PCA you will provide care to our residents to include but not limited to:

· Make unoccupied beds

· Clean resident equipment

· Clean resident’s personal care and grooming items

· Maintain residents’ closets, bedside stands, drawers, and closets in a clean, orderly and odor free manner

· Label clothing and belongings

· Complete admission inventory of clothing and belongings

· Distribute laundry

· Monitor and replenish resident care articles

· Answer call lights and aid our residents and caregivers

· Other duties as assigned
