Job Description
An employer is looking for a Privacy Matters Investigator to join their team in San Diego, CA. This person will be joining the Cyber Security department for a large utility company. This is a new role and this individual will be the only person on the team. They are responsible for responding to data breech's/incidents as it pertains to customer information. This can be on a individual customer basis or if there is a larger breech by one of their 3rd party vendors/partners. They will be responsible for looking through logs in Splunk (which holds millions of customer records) and creating reports on the incident. This person should have strong communication and technical aptitude.
Security background
Data Privacy Specialist/ Privacy Matters Investigator experience
Experience leading interviews and interrogations with departments under incident reviews of data breeches
Experience maintaining compliance and reports to executives
Experience with Splunk
Some Technical aptitude to be able to communicate with developers
Experience doing privacy impact assessments
Analyzes and interprets complex digital data, its relationship to other data sets, and draws conclusions that can then be shared to both technical and non-technical teams to support consumer privacy and data security decisions
Must possess good understanding of complex IT environments with factual and theoretical knowledge to identify and retrieve information more
