Job Description

We’re seeking a talented, enthusiastic and experienced Production Manager with a
“hands on, can do” attitude, and creative mind to provide leadership and direction to a
team responsible for building high speed automated packaging equipment.
General Purpose
To plan, organize and control production to ensure that goods are produced efficiently,
on time, within budget and to quality standards.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
· Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures
· Implement and control the production schedule
· Ensure “on time” delivery
· Develop and implement staffing plan to meet production requirements
· Monitor material resources required to meet on-time project delivery
· Conduct daily Visual Management meetings with department personnel focused on
safety, delivery, and quality
· Experience with an ERP/MRP based manufacturing system, preferably Epicor
· Provide “hands on” management and leadership to the team
· Implement, modify, train and reinforce Standard Operating Procedures
· Reinforce, monitor and document product quality standards
· Evaluate production and quality control to detect and emphasize continuous
improvement
· Prepare and maintain progress reports and forecasts
· Monitor and review the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for
improvement
· Estimate production costs
· Set production budgets
· Implement cost control programs
· Maintain a clean and organized ship using 6S principles
· Establish efficient collaboration and coordination between relevant departments
including procurement, distribution and management

Education and Experience
· Bachelor's Degree – Operations, Engineering, Industrial Technology or related field of
study. Will consider related experience in lieu of degree.
· 5 years’ experience in direct supervision and management of hourly personnel in a job
shop environment
· Knowledge and experience with current manufacturing methodologies, including 6S
and Lean is important.
· Technically competent with automated equipment and processes
· Knowledge of raw materials, machine assembly, quality systems/standards
· Knowledge of machines, tools, and process improvement techniques
· Knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance
· Knowledge of engineering and technology principles and practices
· Solid computer skills

Additional Requirements:
Must be a US citizen or a Permanent Resident.
Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be a “hands on” leader
and be highly motivated and result oriented.
Must be positive, and ethical.
