Production Operator

FULL-TIME

$20.25/hr

•Follows all food safety and operating procedures that are outlined by the company’s standards including start-up, changeovers, shutdown, and safe operation of production machinery
•Accurately scaling/staging, loading/mixing, packaging, pallet loading, and preparation of finished goods
•Ensures critical control points are checked on all required equipment and report findings
•Accurately records required information on production-quality documentation
•Reports any mechanical malfunctions to management
•Ensures that the finished product is properly labeled and is marked with an accurate and legible lot code
•Operates sit down and standup forklifts safely
•Ensures scheduled sanitation of production area is being conducted including daily, weekly, monthly, and annually
•Maintains a clean work area within the department per sanitation standards
•Maintains accurate documentation as required
•Ensures FIFO procedures are followed
•Loads and unloads trucks in a timely manner
•Visually inspects packaging material, marking each pallet with the received date
•Receives all raw materials in a safe manner, following SOPs for these procedures
•Accurately completes all forms, checklists, and documentation required by company policies and procedures
•Produces quality products in a manner that meets production targets and complies with the company’s food safety, quality standards, and safety guidelines

Schedule

Shift start: 12:00PM
Shift length: 8 - 10 hours
1st shift 3am - 11:30am Monday through Friday - Overtime as needed, 2nd shift 12:00pm to 10:30pm Monday through Thursday, overtime as need, rotations every quarter

Qualifications
  • Must pass drug screen (cannabis excluded)
  • Must pass background check
  • Can lift 75 lbs
  • Must be at least 18+ years old
Basic Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, fractions, and percentages. English writing and comprehension. Knowledge of stand-up forklifts, sit-down forklifts, and scissor lifts. Previous knowledge of SQF, GMPs, HACCP, and AIB/ASI standards. Biochemical process and/or food manufacturing experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills. PC skills in Word, and Excel. Ability to work rotating shifts on a quarterly basis.
