PURCHASING AND ESTIMATING COORDINATING AGENT

Our Nashville client is a rapidly growing builder / developer based in Nashville, TN
focused on multifamily / single-family & mixed community developments.

They are looking for a Purchasing and Estimating Coordinator to join their fast growing team.

Top candidates will exhibit critical thinking skills, strong problem-solving
skills, and a meticulous attention to detail. Experience in residential or commercial
construction is preferred.

● Purchase products and services
● Negotiate pricing and sourcing details with vendors
● Conduct product and service quality appraisal
● Review scopes for accuracy and make changes based upon feedback from Legacy
South
● Communicate with vendors and subcontractors
● Create spreadsheets to analyze pricing and display key data on product/pricing
offerings
● Present important data/information through concise and effective means
● Complete various administrative tasks as directed by the Purchasing and Estimating
Manager
● Improve and oversee projects and processes needed to achieve company goals

● Be a "Cost Code Owner" to manage the relationships, pricing, and performance of
subcontractor
● Report, investigate, and reduce variance
● Ensure Final Estimates for Projects are accurate and cost effective
● Ensure catalog pricing, quantities, and purchase orders are accurate
● Assess products, services, vendors, and offerings
● Develop and implement recommendations for products, cost savings, and value
engineering solutions and optimization

● Bachelor's or Associate’s Degree
● Experience in Residential or Commercial Construction
● Experience in building & managing vendor relationships
● Strong relationship-building skills
● Negotiation skills and experience
● Strong Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel experience
● Smartsheet experience is great!
● Ability to read and understand Civil and Architectural drawings
● Critical thinker with strong problem-solving and research proficiencies
● Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
● Ability to gather data and convert it into meaningful analysis
● Solid organizational skills and detail oriented
● Ability to multitask & work under pressure
