Schedules Available: Full Time, Monday – Friday, 40 hour/week; exempt position

Duties/Responsibilities:

Responsible for the

o Planning, implementing and evaluating of the education programs for clinical and non clinical staff

o General orientation of new staff

o All aspects of employee health

o Maintain an infection prevention and control program designed to provide a safe, sanitary and comfortable environment and to help prevent the development and transmission of communicable diseases and infections.

o Establish facility wide systems for the prevention, identification, investigation and control of infections of residents, staff and visitors

Requirements/Qualifications:

o 3 – 5 years’ experience as an educator in a health care setting (preferred)

o Current NYS licensed registered nurse

o CPR certified

o Experience in DOH survey process (preferred)
