Industry leader, Wright Risk Management, is seeking an experienced Regional Marketing Representative to join the team!
Competitive Compensation! $70,000-$90,000 (Depending on experience)

Location: 100% Remote for Capital Region (Albany); Remote, due to Covid, for Long Island Region (Long Island)
Hours: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8:30-4:30p (35hr work week)
Regional Marketing Representative Overview:
NYSIR Regional Marketing and Service Representative’s primary responsibility is to provide exceptional client-focused service, guidance, and support for New York Schools Insurance Reciprocal and NYSIR subscribers in the Capital Region in NY. In addition, an emphasis on servicing existing clients, retaining current membership, and new business growth is expected for these positions.
Regional Marketing Representative Requirements:
- Must display professional demeanor and appearance, initiative, sound judgment, and integrity at all times
- Must demonstrate excellent organizational, listening, verbal, and written communication skills to provide exceptional subscriber service and perform as an integral member of our progressive team environment
- Must adapt to a changing environment, handle multiple priorities and perform independently as needed, and actively close sales.
- 10+ year’s insurance broker/agency or carrier experience with a successful track record in account management/sales - preferably P&C experience
- Proficiency and aptitude in the use of computer and information technology
- Position requires active NYS Insurance Brokers License and ongoing continuing education certification is required
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis on marketing, communications, business, risk management or insurance preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record
Regional Marketing Representative Responsibilities:
Cultivating relationships with current and prospective NYSIR subscribers, senior-level school district administrators, NYSIR-certified service representatives (appointed insurance agencies), consultants, various state education associations, and NYSIR staff and executive directors. Coordinate closely with teammates from underwriting, loss control, risk management, claims and client services departments, client organization, designated insurance service reps, and NYSIR business partners to:
- Foster outstanding customer care and fulfillment for current members
- Regularly schedule and conduct subscriber coverage and service reviews with current member Insureds
- Deliver and effectively explain renewal pricing projections, insurance quotes, and new business insurance proposals to district administrators
- Achieve a high level of renewal business retention
- Produce new business opportunities and effectively present new business insurance proposals to school district administrators/officials
- Professionally represent NYSIR and Wright Risk Management/ Brown & Brown at various association conferences throughout the state
- Promote NYSIR brand through speaking engagements, presentations, and sponsorships
- Arrange, facilitate and host regional customer and prospect luncheons, meetings, and new member orientations. 60%-day travel with some evenings and approximately 10 overnights annually
- Attend professional organization meetings/activities within assigned region
- Attend and interact with NYSIR Board of Governors meetings
- Maintain accurate marketing activity reports/calendars
- Complete other projects as assigned by the Director of Marketing

Wright Risk Management serves as a management company providing claims administration, risk management & loss control, underwriting & marketing, and client services in New York for the NY Schools Insurance Reciprocal (NYSIR: ‘A’ rated by Best), NY Municipal Insurance Reciprocal (NYMIR: ‘A-’ rated by Best) and Statewide Schools Health Plan. We also act as a TPA for Workers Compensation for various self-insured schools & municipalities in New York.
