We Are Hiring:

Registered Nurse (RN) - Step Down ICU - Full-Time - Weekend Option - Days

 

Will work every Saturday and Sunday plus one additional shift per week, 0700-1930 - (weekend option plus 1 shift)

 

Our Ascension St. Vincent Seton Specialty Long-term Acute Care Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana, specializes in the care of medically complex patients who need intensive skilled nursing and medical follow-up after being hospitalized for a critical illness. Our long-term acute care facility focuses on patients, who on average stay for 25 days or more. Our long-term acute care team includes doctors, nurses, wound care specialists, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists and social workers. What You Will Do:

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.


Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
What You Will Need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or jobtransfer date.
    • Registered Nurse credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. BSN Preferred. 

Work Experience:

 

       .  Preferred Qualifications:  Critical care experience, ventilator experience, ACLS, BLS
