What you will have an opportunity to do:

Skamania Lodge is seeking a Room inspector to join our Housekeeping Team. This role is to inspect the cleanliness and the appearance of guest rooms and public spaces and see that all personnel are performing housekeeping operations and carrying out their assignments in accordance with established standards.

  • Ensuring the cleanliness of all housekeeping assigned areas with particular attention to detail given to the cleanliness and functionality of hotel guestrooms.
  • Investigate, verify, report, and record any guestroom issues from previous stays to the housekeeping coordinator.
  • Keep detailed inspection reports and assist in the development and training of associates to maintain productivity standards.
  • Collaborate with housekeeping managers to maintain consistency in the cleanliness of rooms.
  • Use HotSoS software to report maintenance and maintenance prevention of guest rooms and housekeeping areas.
  • Take note of and report any needed improvements to all housekeeping areas and guest rooms.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by manager.

What are we looking for?

  • Requires specialized knowledge of housekeeping procedures and protocols. 
  • High school diploma and 0 to 2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Housekeeping supervisory or related job experience preferred but not required.
  • Must have keen eye for detail.
