Sales Account Manager - Machining
Location:
Springfield, OH (Due to the pandemic Sales people are working from a home office up to 2 days per week)
Compensation:
Commensurate with experience.
Opportunity Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Sales the Account Manager will serve existing customers by providing information regarding services and products during the sales process, and continue managing the project to help resolve service or product issues that may arise in the delivery process. The position will prepares customer quotations, review orders, and engage new customers. Essential Job Duties:
  • Supports Program Management through communicating to all team members the customer requirements, obtaining authority to proceed, following up on all open commercial issues relative to pricing. Follow up with customers to ensure payment. Responsible for communicating any drawing or tolerancing issues with customer.
  • Provide accurate timely information to customers and production staff regarding order requirements. Work as liaison between customer, production, quality and engineering.
  • Answers service and product questions.
  • Maintains customer records, files, account information, and changes.
  • Informs and communicates to other departments of issues or changes regarding product to a customer.
  • Resolves customer problems. Works closely with customers to monitor/uncover customer needs, turning these problems/inquiries into new opportunities.
  • Work on developing new account relationships, as well as calling on established customers during on-site sales calls. Develop & uncover sales leads on new customers from existing customers as well as cold calls on potential customers. Arrange and coordinate customer visits to our facilities.
  • Review the estimate for labor, material, and sublet costs as needed to establish the customer quote. Review and prepare the quote.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Experience selling metalworking solutions to OEM's.
  • Experience in machining of metals.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
  • Proficiency with MS Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Excellent English, grammar and public relations skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (business and/or engineering).
