Job Description

We are looking for Scrum Master to work on Strategic Partnerships Group Platform that focuses to develop partnerships for monetization of Epsilon data in new media channels such as digital, TV, radio, social media platforms and Out of Home utilizing direct integrations with partners and data onboarding platforms. SPG collects, transforms, and sells data for targeted advertising in the digital space.

The Scrum Master will oversee a scrum development team. They should be a subject matter expert in Agile methodology and will serve as a buffer between the scrum team and the product owners, resolve conflicts and help to maintain safe and efficient working environment, educate the team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead cross-functional scrum teams to deliver projects through the Scrum process of daily scrums, sprint reviews and retrospectives
  • Lead the scrum team in using Agile methodology and scrum practices
  • Help the product owner and development team to achieve customer satisfaction
  • Lead the scrum development teams in self-organization
  • Support the product owner and provide education where needed
  • Communicate in a clear and concise manner, providing and creating proper materials and documentation when necessary
  • Maintain a clear and reasonable vision of "next steps" and the "big picture" during meetings
  • Lead the organization’s adoption of agile/scrum practices
  • Assess the Scrum maturity of the organization and provide coaching to achieve higher levels of maturity at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable
  • Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution processes
  • Unblock and focus your team throughout each iteration to ensure maximum productivity
  • Deliver results through an environment of collaboration and trust

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is required
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Scrum Master for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory
  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, and increasing transparency
  • Knowledge of numerous well documented scrum patterns and techniques (i.e. Burndown techniques, Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)
  • Knowledge of other agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
  • Previous experience as a team lead and/or supervisor
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills
  • Software product development experience
  • Well-organized with attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills
  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • First level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I) preferred; Second level Scrum Master certification (CSP, PSM II) an asset
  • Experience in Digital Marketing 
  • Exposure to Product implementation
  • Functional knowledge of Digital Marketing, Advertising domains

Salary: $80,000 – $95,000
