POSITION TITLE
Senior Manager, Data Science

LOCATION
This position is open to residents of North Carolina as Raleigh, NC in-office applicants

YOUR ROLE
Your role as the Senior Manager of Data Science will be to provide tactical and strategic leadership to a highly analytical Data Science team. The Data Science team plays a key role in Enact’s data driven decision culture and the team provides business critical intelligence and advice for decision support. Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Analytics, you will lead the efforts to provide comprehensive analytics to different functions for US Mortgage Insurance which are highly dependent on data insights to create efficiencies.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide tactical and strategic direction to the Data Science team
• Become a trusted analytical partner to the functional areas of support and proactively identify improvement opportunities through analytics
• Provide insights and answer key questions to deliver value to functional owners by providing advanced decision support through ML/AI and other methods of advanced analytics
• Be a catalyst to implementing best ML/AI practices within the organization and ensure proper utilization of analytics tools
• Partner with IT and Data Management to implement best solutioning to enable cloud based computing
• Influence results that positively impact productivity, efficiency and enhance company profitability
• Provide mentorship and share knowledge with peers as well as cross functionally


YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree; advanced degree in Analytics preferred

• ML/AI knowledge including the use of both open source and closed source software
• 10+ years combined advanced analytics and business support experience
• Strong business acumen along with a technical understanding of statistical modeling methods, ML/AI techniques, big data trends and cloud based computing
• ML/AI knowledge including the use of both open source and closed source software
• Strong ability to influence decision makers and drive consensus
• Commitment to continuous improvement and innovative approaches


ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
• Mortgage Insurance industry experience
