Summary of Role\:

The Fab9 Diffusion module is seeking a skilled and motivated Level 3 AWS Senior Process Technician to become part of our 200mm Fabricator team in Essex, VT. This Technician position is AWS covering processes in buildings 970 & 973.

This position will be required to sustain and improve Diffusion processes/equipment on the factory floor. GlobalFoundries is a 24/7 manufacturing facility providing technician support across all shifts. Cross-coverage with other processes may be required based on the needs of the business as well as running tools from time to time. â€¯

Essential Responsibilities Include\:

• Responsible for Diffusion processes across all tool types
• React to error messages of factory systems and/or equipment to disposition hardware in a timely manner (move hold lots) and reduce quality and production impact
• Perform established standard work such as following corrective actions, recovering product from process / tool interruptions (including crash sheets, visual inspections), process window experiments, tool/process quals, etc.
• Recommend improvements in standard work to optimize flow, quality and cost as evidenced by sustained improvement in OOC, alarm reductions, PPH increases, error-proofing, etc.
• Operate Diffusion equipment, including writing recipes and making Tool adjustments
• Run Tools including quals if needed in periods of low manufacturing staffing or other unique situations
• Perform engineering experiments and drive DOEs (Design of Experiments) for sustaining & development.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and help team to prioritize workload and projects
• Effectively communicate critical information to the 24x7 teams
• Ability to maintain composure in stressful environment
• Exchange detailed Diffusion module information with internal colleagues and others as appropriate
• Identify chronic problems and communicate to Lead Technicians/Engineers
• Evaluates and identifies/drive solutions, considering implications to upstream and downstream processes
• Understand and follow all health, safety, ISO, environmental and GlobalFoundries policies and procedures
• Complete all required reporting and documentation

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications\:

• High School Degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant semiconductor experience.
• Fluent in English Language – written & verbal
• Ability to work the 12 hours AWS schedule
• Able to work in a cleanroom environment per semiconductor protocol/requirements
• Able to wear all required clean room protective clothing & equipment
• Able to perform work in a standing position and walk between B973 and B970
• Demonstrated technical skills and knowledge of semiconductor processing and process equipment
• Demonstrated ability to follow & create detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks
• Strong team player with ability to work well within a global team  

Preferred Qualifications\:

• Diffusion process experience
• Associates Degree and/or Technical Degree in Science, Math, Engineering, Semiconductor Manufacturing or a related discipline or equivalent military training/experience or relevant work experience.
• Applied, working knowledge of Statistical Process Control methodologies & systems
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing processes & activities (ex\: 5S, structured problem solving, value stream mapping, Kaizen teams, Training within Industry, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects, taking initiative to drive solutions to problems
