PenFed is hiring a Senior Vice President, Financial Planning and Analysis at our McLean, Virginia location. The primary purpose of this job is to deliver advanced financial planning & analysis capabilities. This role will be critical in helping execute Finance strategy and support overall Enterprise initiatives and strategies. A strong leader, responsible for driving change using analytics to support the business and optimize overall capital. Build planning & analysis processes that deliver deep insights to senior executives, as well as Product Owners and other stakeholders. Direct the overall corporate bottoms up development of the multi-year budget, including revenue and expenses and resource planning, quarterly forecasts and monthly estimates in support of key operating segment(s), sales channel(s) and/or functional area(s). Identify and communicate key business opportunities, leading indicators of risks and advise the leadership team on appropriate actions. Provide a high level of thought process to recommend areas for improvement and lead projects to enhance analytical and reporting infrastructure. Establish and maintain strong business controls; drive increased visibility into expense risk areas. Develop key analytical capabilities of the team for delivering on management reporting and optimization objectives. Develop performance metrics and KPIs that will be shared across business functions, and will be delivered, as authoritative, through business-wide executive management P&L reporting. Serve as a thought leader across various stakeholders to elevate analysis quality and depth. Drive efforts to ensure that processes meet quality, control, and consistency standards. Interface with team data scientists on developing use cases that leverage newly integrated finance and credit data. Key stakeholder in monthly accounting close & reporting process and capital stress testing. Perform tasks at the highest level of accuracy and efficiency, in accordance with US GAAP and company financial policies. *This role is responsible for ensuring business continuity.* Qualifications Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered. Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting, with at least twenty (20) years of experience, with 5 years serving in a VP role with direct management experience. MBA preferred. Management Consulting, Corporate Finance, or Accounting experience is desired. Experience developing and managing financial models with expertise in bank balance sheet and P&L reporting. Passion to understand the business and develop data-driven financial use cases to address complex objectives. Excellent communication skills to articulate approach and results to senior management, with ability to challenge assumptions using data evidence. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions concisely Advanced user of Excel, demonstrated ability to work with complex sets of data. Highly experienced with ERP and ERM systems (e.g. Hyperion, Oracle Financials, OneStream) Knowledge of QRM preferred. Supervisory Responsibility This position will directly supervise employees Licenses and Certifications There are no additional certifications required. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise. *Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.* Travel Ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call may be required.
