What You Will Do:

Responsible for executing and expanding on key initiatives inside of the quality organization. Primary focus on the quality performance of a diverse group of suppliers in commodities such as, electrical, mechanical, steel, rubber, and fabrication.

• Participate in the Supplier Approval and Evaluation process
• Perform Supplier Evaluations, evaluate supplier capabilities, review supplier documents
• Review and support Supplier Deviation process
• Work as a liaison between Engineering and Supplier to address specification and/or print questions
• Supplier Quality systems, policies, and procedures
• Supplier interface at company location or on-site at supplier’s location
• Supplier performance KPI’s, tracking, and continual improvement
• Corrective actions; internal and external
• Kaizen / Continual improvement projects / rework and scrap reduction

Education and Work Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering and an emphasis on lean manufacturing and Quality Management Systems
• 3-5 years of supplier quality experience
• Knowledge of various quality system methodologies (Lean, 5 Why’s, Pareto Analysis, Six Sigma, 8-D, DFMEA, PPAP, etc.)
