Overview:

Transportation Driver team members assist with ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by being responsible for safely transporting residents to and from appointments and activities. When not on transport, the candidate will be responsible for medical records within the facility. CNA License is required.

Responsibilities:

Drive responsibly and safely in order to ensure passenger safety and minimize damage or excessive wear and tear on facility vehicle; convey any mechanical problems identified with facility vehicle to the Administrator as soon as possible.
Ensure vehicle is in safe operating condition (e.g., fuel, wash, tires, and inspection); notify the Administrator when vehicle needs service.
Comply at all times with the Rhode Island State Vehicle and Traffic Laws, Rhode Island regulations, and the facility Transportation Manual.
Ensure passengers are safely assisted and secured in the vehicle before departing for their destination.
Ensure safe transport of residents, personal belongings, and medical equipment to destination, as requested by resident.
Notify the pickup and destination location of the time of arrival.
Process Medical Records

Qualifications:

CNA License
Twenty-One (21) years of age required; high school diploma or equivalency preferred.
Minimum two (2) years experience in a driving-related position.
Valid Rhode Island Class A, B, OR C (CDL) License with passenger endorsement.
Must have a clean driving record with no violations (zero points) and no accidents in the previous 36 months.
