Description
- Designs the user-centric look, feel, interface and interaction flow of digital experiences from concept to launch in support of brand goals and business objectives.
- Considers market segment analysis, customer feedback, site metrics and usability findings to help guide initial designs, testing, launch and ongoing refinement.
- Identifies and executes the best methods for user research and testing within client constraints.
- Works in lock-step with the content strategist, creative teams and developers to ensure project goals and deadlines are met.
- Designs and delivers wireframes, user stories, user journeys, mockups and prototypes optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
- Applies design and development best practices including naming conventions, code styling, etc.
- Proactively identifies and suggests solutions to resolve user experience problems and friction points.
- In conjunction with the content strategist, monitors and translates analytics (Google Analytics, Hotjar, etc.) and other on-site performance data to develop strategies and optimizations to the marketplace experience that aid in hitting defined KPIs.
- Monitors and has knowledge of wider industry UX and relevant design technology trends, and be able to regularly communicate trends to internal teams and translate to clients.
Required skills
- Prior exposure to UX tools and research, including planning, designing and facilitating user sessions and client workshops, analyzing findings and articulating results.
- Demonstrated ability to connect insights into UX strategies.
- Skilled in creating walkthrough wireframes, mockups and prototypes.
- Excellent digital and mobile design acumen—experienced in designing and developing site pages, interactive products, multimedia content campaigns, motion graphics, apps and GUI elements and frameworks using the latest responsive/adaptive design techniques.
- Clearly understands how to map digital experiences to a customer journey, and can sense the experience nuance relative to mindset at different points along that journey.
- Obsessive about consumer behavior and creating innovative and functional digital experiences.
- Experience creating business requirements and working with client-side IT departments.
- Understanding of how to deliver digital work to clients for in-house implementation, and/or a keen awareness of security sensitivities should you implement directly via a client website or digital property.
- Familiarity with conversational user interface and AI integration desired.
- Experience in augmented, virtual or mixed reality a plus.
- Strong project management, planning and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities change often.
- Strong interpersonal skills: a team player, positive and collaborative.
- Experience working in an agency environment a plus.
- Familiar with WCAG and ADA guidelines for Accessibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is required in related field such as Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Digital Media, Web Design, etc.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a UX Designer or similar role.
- Expert level proficiency with modern design tools like Adobe XD, Sketch, Axure, Figma, Principle, Framer and[KB2] InVision required; .net CMS (Episerver, others) experience is a plus.
- Up-to-date aptitude of the Adobe Creative Suite.
