Responsibilities for the Ultrasound Technologist:
 

• Coordinate and prepare patients for procedures
• Perform diagnostic sonographic examinations
• Kindly communicate with patients, explain process
• Correctly use and maintain equipment
• Update accurate medical history for patients
• Position patients for ideal scan visibility
• Proficient in first aid techniques in relation to fainting, seizures, respiratory distress and allergic reactions
• Encourage a collaborative and professional environment among patients and staff

• 2 Year Degree or Certificate from Ultrasonography or Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Radiology program
• 1+ year of ultrasound technologist experience
• Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in two specialties
• CPR Certified
• BLS Certification required
• Availability for rotating weekends
