Sr. Director, Digital Marketing
Reports to
Managing Director Marketing & eCommerce
Overview
Urban Outfitters is looking for an experienced digital marketer to lead the digital marketing efforts that support the growth of our business and brand. The Sr. Director develops strategic and tactical plans that drive sustained profitable business growth including marketing mix, channel-level optimization and testing, customer acquisition and retention. They will partner with other marketing leaders to strengthen brand awareness and affinity and lead the execution of memorable brand experiences through disruptive omnichannel communications, activations, and campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Support the ecommerce businesses and drive brand growth through digital marketing
- Manage approach to budget, performance forecasting and channel-level planning
- Present campaign pitches, performance recaps and learnings to senior leadership
- Forecast weekly/monthly performance KPIs and budgets including demand and customer growth
- Partner with analytics, brand, creative and merchandising teams to develop integrated marketing campaigns that support key business objectives and growth goals
- Develop actionable audience-based strategies to increase new customer acquisition and improve customer retention
- Manage external agency and publisher relationships
- Oversee digital partnerships efforts with external brand partners both endemic and non-endemic
- Manage team of talented people, fostering career development opportunities and skills growth
Qualifications
- Ability to strategize customer acquisition strategies based on in-depth knowledge of marketing channel dynamics including Search, Affiliates, Social, Media, email and mobile.
- Be comfortable participating in weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews to develop proactive and reactionary marketing initiatives
- 10+ years of digital marketing and ecommerce experience, with demonstrated background in channel-management and a track record of driving business growth
- Highly analytical, and comfortable with budget-management experience, setting targets, creating forecasts and scenario-modeling and proficient in tools such as Google Analytics
- Excellent presentation and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization from external vendors to senior leadership
- A ‘customer-centric’ mentality and experience driving audience-based initiatives
- An innate curiosity and ability to breakdown complex analyses into concise, straightforward recommendations and marketing initiatives
- A collaborative, ‘team-first’ attitude and a leadership style that prioritizes career and personal development
Education
Bachelor’s Degree (MBA preferred) in marketing, business, analytics, or a related field
