URBAN PLANNER POSITIONS AVAILABLE

Come join our creative and passionate team shaping cities across California! Hiring level is open, and we welcome applications from experienced candidates with California experience.

We are looking for one or two creative and passionate urban planners to be team-members on ongoing assignments. Positions will involve research and analysis; writing reports and plans; and assisting with community outreach and project coordination. Ideal candidates will have exposure to California planning practice and geographic familiarity with the state, and background/ability in one or more of the following areas: 

• Land use planning
• Housing
• Sustainability and climate resiliency
• Environmental planning/CEQA

Candidates must have:

• Graduate degree in planning or closely related field
• Strong writing skills
• Good research, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively

At least some previous planning experience is required. Candidates must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to travel occasionally.

This is a hybrid position. Dyett & Bhatia staff is currently working remotely, and will be moving to a hybrid WFH/office model when the pandemic ceases. While we anticipate that staff will work most days from home, some work from the office/presence in the Bay Area will be necessary.
