SNI companies is hiring for a Workforce Development Specialist This position will report to Director of Social Services The purpose of the Workforce Development Specialist is to assist clients in reaching self-sufficiency through coaching, case management and education, in both group and one to one settings Duties and responsibilities Conducts appropriate outreach and recruitment on sufficient scale to help fill vacancies in the program. Conducts an assessment of each participant's needs for supportive services. Provides job development and placement services as needed to meet or exceed his/her monthly placement standards. Engages with the area's private and public sector employers to identify job openings that might be filled by the program's participants. Visits and provides program presentation with our employers. Provides participants with orientation to work benefits and protections such as social security, worker's comp, payroll deduction and wages-and-hour standards. Collaborates with case managers to assure clients receive wrap-around services and appropriate referrals to community partners. Represents the agency in the community. Acts as liaison to resolve participant/employer job performance differences. Documents participant files. Qualifications Commitment to the mission of the organization. Strong cultural competence; ability to build positive relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders including donors and volunteers for faith-based and grassroots organizations. Excellent written communication and presentation skills. Knowledge of adult learning styles. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Ability to work independently to achieve program goals. Valid Florida driver's license and clean driving record.
