Job Description

The Paycom Attorney is an active contributor to the legal team. Attorneys work closely with senior and advising attorneys to advise Paycom business regarding laws and regulations.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides guidance and support on organizational legal issues.
  • Explains facts, policies, and practices related to assigned business segment.
  • Writes, reviews, and advises on standard legal contracts and agreements.
  • Researches and analyzes standard laws and regulations.
  • Identifies, defines, and addresses standard, readily identifiable problems typically within immediate job area.
  • Applies knowledge from prior experiences to formulate defense or initiate legal actions.
  • Collaborate with senior Legal team members.
  • Advises business on best practices to reduce liability.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification:     

  • Juris Doctorate or equivalent from an accredited law school required.

Experience Required:

  • Admission to Oklahoma Bar in good standing.

Skills/Abilities:       

  • Ability to perform legal research and detailed analysis
  • Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of employees including senior leadership
  • Highly developed executive presence and confidence in public speaking
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • A strong work ethic, be willing to work flexible hours including nights/weekends and travel to events as needed
