What will I be doing?
The Director of Talent Acquistion is a dynamic leader. Develops new sourcing avenues and ensures that the talent we select enhances the culture at Hilton Grand Vacations. This is a leader of an energetic team that connects with people, engages in the communities they live and work to find the best sales talent! Accountabilities include the planning and development of site-specific and targeted sourcing, programs, and goals which are created and achieved to accelerate our ability to attract and select top talent. Role supervises the work and performance of a hard-working team as they own the life cycle interview and selection process. The position is accountable for maintaining an effective, high performing recruitment function that yields results, as well as ensuring the teams efficiently leverage the external/internal systems, people resources, partnerships, and tools needed to acquire the talent in an effective way, yielding the best results.
 
Responsibilities
  • Lead the work of the hard-working, energetic regional field recruiting team. Set clear direction, coach, mentor and continuously simplify/improve processes, and assess job performance. Build an empowering environment that values the individuality and diverse talents of each Team Member. Communicate clear expectations and deliver continuous feedback. Craft ongoing succession and career mapping plans for high potential Team Members.
  • Along with Workforce Planning and HRBP, engage in continuous forecasting discussions with the business. Ensure resources are in place to handle the workload and achieve changing hiring targets. Work requisitions as demands require. Maintain partnership and accountability with internal customers regarding recruitment goals.
  • In partnership with global sourcing, HRBP, and the business, develop a wide-ranging global/local sourcing plan to grow and manage internal and external sourcing channels. Proactively source, network, and market our job opportunities providing leadership in the development and execution of local programs (i.e. diversity and inclusion, employee referrals, local community partners, talent ambassadors, etc.)
  • Collaborates with the operational/regional HRBP team to drive retention of our best talent
  • Ensure that team is using all of the internal/external tools and resources available. Drive adoption of recruitment technology for a more effective candidate selection process. Ensure outstanding recruitment processes and interactions. Partner closely with the HR Technology team to advance the use of existing, new, and innovative methods of recruitment. Continuously innovate and look for new and creative ways to find and select talent.
  • Identify metrics, establish standards, set objectives, and audit operational efficiency. Ensures the detailed collection and analysis of measurement data (cost per hire, applicant flow data, sourcing channels, etc) in order to make operational/business decisions that affect both staffing and continuous process improvement. Lead and drive metrics/data analytics to measure the effectiveness of processes. Advise the planning cycles for recruitment and make budgetary decisions that meet organizational goals and provide for efficient management of resources. Regularly review current TA processes to find opportunities and identify plans for streamlining to ensure thoroughness and a quality experience at a high value.
  • Ensure concise and consistent communication to all partners on recruitment metrics, trends, labor market data, and other impactful measures impacting talent selection. Act as a thought partner and mentor to leaders when it comes to all things recruiting and hiring. In partnership with HRBP, provide guidance to hiring managers on recruiting strategies, policies, and processes to ensure talent standards are delivered across the enterprise.

  • Previous Leadership experience with Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required or equivalent work experience
  • Dedicated recruitment background in a large organization, hospitality a plus
  • Strong analytics and eye for business with a track record of execution 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent relationship builder. Builds trust fast and develops, and builds upon relationship
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills to build effective partnerships with other HR team members, hiring leaders, candidates, and external search partners as needed
  • Ability to change search strategies quickly to accommodate changes in business strategies and resulting talent needs
  • Strong execution skills to drive search strategies to closure
  • Strong prioritization skills to effectively balance challenging demands; shown people developer and mentor 
  • Expertise aligning an enterprise-wide multi-business talent acquisition strategy to organization's overall values, vision, mission, and strategic goals
