What you'll do...

JOB SUMMARY

H&R Block is seeking a strong Telecommunications Manager to take an active role in evolving telecommunications architecture and services to meet changing requirements of H&R Block's large retail office and corporate network.

The Manager of Telecommunications provides technical and managerial leadership to a team delivering Telecommunications, Internet and Wireless services to H&R Block.
Duties and responsibilities include:

• Manage the Telecommunications team to ensure the reliability, availability, and serviceability of the corporate and 6300 retail office location network.
• Responsible for leadership in establishing a telecommunications road map, goals and priorities.
• Support planning, design, day-to-day operations, maintenance and advanced troubleshooting of the telecommunications network.
• Take an active role in owning the advancement of telecommunications, internet and wireless technologies.
• Manage relationships, contracts and operations with Telecommunications, Internet and Wireless suppliers.
• Manage telecommunications budget and invoicing

What you'll bring to the team...

• 10+ years' experience in IT telecommunications, retail network support and call center technology, including 5+ in a management role
• Strong knowledge of voice carrier technologies
• Experience in large retail settings providing services to hundreds or thousands of locations
• Strong knowledge of VoIP systems
• Significant experience with Contact Center, IVR and call routing technologies
• Experience with UCAS Platforms such as Microsoft Teams Enterprise Voice
• Experience in managing relationships, contractual agreements and service levels with Solutions Providers
• Experience in an environment with complex telecommunications supplier billing
• Ability to work well with people and act as a consultant for individuals with varying degrees of technical experience
• Ability to manage numerous projects and activities simultaneously, ensuring the correct priorities are assigned and initiatives are completed within resource constraints
• Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience in information systems management
