The opportunity:
The Plant/Production Manager will direct the Corrugator Container Division while assuring effective planning, development, and control of all manufacturing processes. This individual plan, organizes, and controls the operations to effectively contribute to our operating objectives and policies, working closely with customer service and other areas of operation to meet divisional objectives and profit objectives. Additional responsibility includes ensuring the production/manufacturing process is in line with customer specifications. The Plant/Production Manager is expected to perform all their duties with a strong focus on safety and enforce company policies and procedures.
How you will impact:

Ensures the constant practice of established standards of safety and housekeeping in all areas within the department.
Directs the economical and effective manufacturing of paper making operations:
a. Provides quality, service, and operating objectives, assuring implementation of effective plans.

b. Directs the continuing production of quality CORRUGATED, assuring implementation of effective plans

c. Reviews and analyzes all operating results, including quality, efficiencies, and costs,
determining appropriate actions to maintain favorable and correct unfavorable trends.

Provides technical direction and expertise to develop equipment, materials, maintenance, and operating procedures for effective operations
Provides technical direction and assistance in developing and/or improving grades.
Develops, recommends, and implements budgets, long-range plans, capital expenditures, and other managerial programs to support operations.
Provides timely feedback of relevant information to management and makes valid recommendations for improvements to operating and management effectiveness.
Maintains good relationships and coordinates closely with marketing, technical, and other operating management.
Establish goals and track results relating to uptime, quality, productivity, control manufacturing, and conversion cost within budgetary limits.
Ensure that all standards and customer commitments (i.e., quality, safety, output, on-time delivery) are followed within the plant.
What you need to succeed:
Seven or more years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Strong preference for industry experience
Must be able to collaborate with others in the organization outside the line of formal authority (such as peers in other units or senior management) to achieve organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems.
Able to respond quickly to changing demands, processes, and updated information.
Must operate with the customer's interest in mind and act based upon the best interest of the company.
Must be capable of setting a course of action for self and others to accomplish goals; be an effective motivator and clear communicator.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook
