Middle Market Investment Bank with offices in Detroit, Chicago, and Denver currently seeking a Vice President with expertise in Plastics and Packaging.

The vice president will lead a team of associates and analysts, lead daily client contact, establish internal and external deliverable deadlines, and ensure that transactions are executed on a timely basis and in a quality manner.

Your Work Will Include, But Not Be Limited To

• Communicating big picture client strategy
• Leveraging an understanding of process and relationships to optimize transactions
• Participating in proposals and management presentations
• Assuming “ownership” of confidential offering documents and management presentations, including writing critical portions of the document or reviewing/editing content written by others
• Performing quality review of project deliverables
• Supporting negotiation activities
• Serving as a mentor to develop appropriate skills through on-the-job and formalized training programs
• Engaging in business development activities
  

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; MBA preferred
• At least four years of investment banking experience serving the lower middle and middle market segments of the M&A industry
  

• Strong quantitative foundation (e.g., financial modeling, valuation) with the ability to develop and communicate clear and concise conclusions from detailed analysis
• Well-developed interpersonal and communications skills
• Strong business writing skills, including grammar, style, and the ability to develop effective documents
• Proven project management and leadership skills
• Awareness of developments in financial and business markets
