The Opportunity

Delaware North Global Headquarters is hiring a Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis to join our Financial Planning and Analysis team in Buffalo, New York. As a Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and development of the financial modeling, forecasting, and management reporting of all Delaware North operations. Results of the role provide strategic and tactical leadership to optimize the financial resources of the organization. The Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis is a transformative role in the finance department that enables the strategic direction and business results of Delaware North.

Responsibilities

  • Provide global leadership and vision that leverages standards, processes, and technology and enhances the financial planning and analysis function and its alignment with business strategy.
  • Plan and execute short and long-term implementation strategies and deliver models for enterprise financial planning and analysis function.
  • Lead and manage the capital planning and budget process to ensure alignment with corporate strategy and business goals.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial models with an integrated set of financial statements, assumptions, and metrics. Monitor and evaluate costs of capital expenditures.
  • Deliver management reporting including Weekly Operating Reporting and Monthly Management Discussion and Analysis, manage the monthly forecast, annual budget, and strategic plan financial processes. Direct the compilation of the budget and present analysis of budgeted amounts to actual results and forecasts. Manage the forecasting analysis through identifying, understanding, and communicating changes.
  • Develop market analyses and financial metrics for related industries, including key factors, influences, and trends impacting our businesses.
  • Develop analytics and key messages around business performance and link financial results to business strategies; focus on management reporting and analysis of key performance indicators and metrics (e.g. sales, earnings, value of new business, capital) to enable in-depth discussion of key elements and drivers of the business performance.
  • Ensure optimal maintenance and ongoing evolution of relevant technology, work closely with accounting and financial systems to maintain alignment of financials with financial applications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree Business Administration, Accounting or Finance. Masters degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of related FP&A experience in a large, multinational organization with a proven track record, including strategic support of senior executives aligning strategies with business priorities.
  • Ability to lead teams of financial professionals and stakeholders in an international, privately held company.
  • Demonstrates strong and effective communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Solid analytic skills.
  • Demonstrated experience and success transforming a financial planning and analysis function to drive business results.
  • Travel to 10%. May exceed that as business requires to support enterprise or subsidiary initiatives.
