Job Overview

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Enterprise FP&A, the Vice President of Retail FP&A will lead the financial support of retail operations for PCHI including stores, e-commerce, merchandising, marketing, real estate, and other retail functions. This highly visible and influential role will partner with members of the Executive Leadership Team as well as key functional leaders across the business to provide complex analytical support and proactively identify, analyze, and interpret business performance drivers and opportunities for enhancements in the overall realization of financial targets.

Key responsibilities include influencing and guiding both the short-term execution and long-term strategy of the retail organization through data-driven insights. Other responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, and providing end-to-end support for business leaders in understanding financial results and detailed diagnostics on variances. Reporting needs will include both management and board of director presentations.

The ideal candidate for this role will be a seasoned financial executive with strong business acumen and analytical skills, experience leading and developing a team, and outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities and Duties

Building and leading the Retail FP&A function:

  • Provide management oversight and support, establishing a culture of accountability.
  • Evaluate needs of the organization and align team talent and structure to ensure business requirements are met.
  • Develop talent and foster an environment of engagement, motivation, and support

Drive business results through partnerships with Retail organization leadership:

  • Provide critical business analysis and leadership necessary to drive key business opportunities through fact-based financial data and analytics.
  • Develop and report against integral targets and KPI’s to ensure initiatives meet or exceed necessary returns on investment.
  • Lead efforts related to financial models and analyses to support new strategic growth.

Lead planning and forecasting functions for the retail organization:

  • Partner with retail business leaders to deliver accurate financial forecasts, annual business plans, and long-range financial targets.
  • Deliver reporting of actual results including in-depth analysis and detailed diagnostics of variances to expectations and prior periods.

Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies of business processes:

  • Interpret competitive landscape and business trends necessary to understand impact on business today and in the future.
  • Challenge the status quo of both finance and operational processes.

Leadership Influence

The Vice President of Retail FP&A will lead a team of finance professionals, with multiple direct reports, some of which will have team members reporting into them. The sphere of influence for this role will be large as this role will be charged with supporting in the development of the overall strategy of PCHI’s largest commercial business, partnering with the Chief Commercial Officer, Chief Operations Officer, Chief Experience and Marketing Officer, as well as other leaders within the retail organization.

Qualifications

· 10+ years of finance experience (FP&A and Business Support)

· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics (MBA Preferred)

· Retail experience and understand retail operations and store support
